Events and workshops to promote ecological reading for everyone without restrictions"
The project "Green wave of reading. Events and workshops to promote ecological reading for everyone without restrictions", supported by the IBBY- Yamada 2021 Foundation (IBBY International Board of Children's and Youth Books). The project offers through reading environmental books, activities, bibliotherapy services, convey the need to increase the environmental awareness of citizens, improve the environmental situation in the city and the country as a whole. The task of the project is to convey environmental information to the younger generation, involving them in reading books and visiting the library, to change their environmental consciousness.
The goals of the project are to:
· strengthen environmental education among children, to create a favorable socio-psychological and barrier-free climate in libraries for children;
· to convince everyone (adults, children) of the need to follow the basic rules of nature conservation at home, in the environment, at school, on vacation, at the workplace;
· introduce "green" Book-Therapy through the involvement of in eco-reading, obtaining ecological knowledge, creative self-expression;
· to raise children have appropriate aesthetic tastes;
· to involve writers, publishers, librarians and representatives of environmental organizations and mass media, who will contribute to the ecological culture and morals of the younger generation;
· activity of modern ecological space based on NBU for children, which will provide theoretical and applied information on environmental topics for children and their parents and thereby perform "bibliotherapy" functions, "treating" with reading, words, ecoculture.
