In October 2018 as part of the EU Coding Week, the National Library of Ukraine hosted a "QR-coding Day" for children.
The event was implemented by the "Charitable Fund for the Development of the National Library of Ukraine for Children" as part of the Meet and Code initiative with the support ofGURT Resource Centerin cooperation with the organizations TechSoup Europe and Haus des Stiftens gGmbH and funding from SAP (System Analysis and Program Development).
The goal of Meet and Code is to show children and young people aged 8 to 24 the world of programming and information technologies.
Children from boarding schools and rehabilitation centers from Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhya, Kharkiv regions and the city of Lviv, as well as students from Kyiv schools, took part in the event.
