MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION
Charitable organization "Charitable Fund for the Development of the National Library of Ukraine for"
A legal entity under private law that operates on the principles of legality, humanity, common interests and equality of rights of its participants, openness, voluntariness and self-government. When carrying out its activities, it does not aim to make a profit.
GOALS OF THE FUND:
- providing assistance to promote the legitimate interests of the National Library of Ukraine for children in the fields of charitable activities, as well as the development and support of public interests;
- providing assistance in the development, reconstruction, modernization and development of the library;
- providing assistance in preserving, forming, and using the library fund, purchasing books, periodicals, audiovisual documents in order to replenish the library fund;
- promotion and assistance in the implementation of programs, projects for the support and development of children's reading;
- providing support in the implementation of activities aimed at the spiritual development of children, popularization and expansion of access to Ukrainian and world literature, development of children's creativity.

Serves children and adults (parents, educators, teachers, librarians).
The library has more than 500,000 copies of books, magazines, gramophone records, CDs, transparencies and motion pictures. A unique collection of rare and valuable publications - more than 15 thousand books and magazines for children of the 19th - the first half of the 20th century.
The library is a center for organizing leisure activities for children in Kyiv and suburban areas.
All services are free.
